Meet Rob Snow who is the Creator and Director of The Improvaneer Method and Executive Director of Stand Up for Downs, he also performs his one-man show nationally. Rob began his comedy career in the late 90s while training at the famed Second City Theatre in Chicago, performing at comedy clubs and colleges in the Midwest. In 2009 Rob and his wife Ellen had their second son Henry who was born with Down Syndrome. In 2013, they created Stand Up for Downs, whose mission is to enhance the lives of those with Down syndrome through humor.

The idea of Stand Up for Downs, generated from Rob’s background in stand-up comedy and producing comedy events, and Ellen’s background in putting together events for her previous employer. They began to produce comedy events and other unique fundraisers, then give back the money to the DS community through grants and sponsorships. Since 2013, the 501c3 non-profit has raised over $500,000 and granted over $300,000.

In 2017, Rob created the concept for The Improvaneer Method. He has served as the creator and Director for The Improvaneers and has performed improvisation workshops and presentations at all major DS conferences around the country. Learn more about Rob and his work through the links below.
